Ohai everyone,
Make sure to also restart your RabbitMQ (after restarting
chef-solr-indexer) when upgrading.
Not restarting RabbitMQ could leave an unattended queue which is
getting messages but has no chef-solr-indexer consuming them. In this
scenario, RabbitMQ will hold the unacknowledged messages until it
consumes all available memory.
The new default configuration for amqp is much more sensible, and
should help avoid this type of problem in the future.
