[chef-dev] Opensource Chef-Server on 12.04

Hi All,

 

I was starting to play with Ubuntu 12.04 and was looking for a chef-server that would run there.

 

They have chef packages (solo and chef-client), but I’m looking for server though.  And they are old.  Chef-0.8.

 

I tried the natty packages which almost work from opscode’s repo.  The rubygems in 12.04 has been really updated compared to 11.10 and this is breaking both the merb app in chef-server and the chef client.  Mostly around deprecated Gem object functions.

 

Before I go off into the weeds on this, I was wondering if anyone has started an work on this or if Opscode is working on it?
