 It does look like that would supersede the status. I'll give that a
 try in more detail and update our workarounds but I'd like to find a
 solution to the status setting too. If the built-in fallback to
 process table inspection would have worked, you end up reimplementing
 that which is kinda lame. Worse to me is that you can set :status =>
 false and get no indication that Chef is ignoring you.
