Ohai again, Chefs!
In homage to Bryan's reference to the Hobbit from the code review meeting
earlier today, we'll call this list of cookbook releases the Hobbit
Edition.
It's not particularly short on awesomeness, though! Of note, version 3.0
of the Nagios cookbook is released. A special thank you to Tim Smith for
his contributions and assistance with "Testing in ProductionÂ".
We *are* short on tickets to review - the count is down to 0 as of this
writing. We've also merged all the reviewed tickets and will be making
many more releases in the next week, just in time for the holiday season.
If you have been asking "how can I help with the COOK project?" We could
use assistance in follow-up on the "Reopened" issues. Sometimes tickets
are reopened, get a reply, but not set back to "Fix Provided." That's
where we could use help, especially in tickets that are fixing bugs.
Thanks and have a great weekend!

## nagios v3.0.0:
This is a major release due to some dramatic refactoring to the

using nagios user/group attributes

cookbook to fail

3.4.1

bag to take arbitrary config items

items

should reference template.
