the gist has two files in it, a recipe and a log

I can see from the log that the resource that sends the notification is executed

yet I don't see the resource that should have been notified get executed at the end of the chef run

You'll have better luck directing questions like this to the regular Chef list. Also, looks like you have a fair number of notifications set up in that snippet. Which one do you expect to execute that isn't?
