[chef-dev] Chef-server support for ARM

Hi

This mail is regard with few issues on setting up the chef-server on the Arndale –ARM –A15 -32 bit architecture.

I have setup the git repository and downloaded all the required dependencies.  Tried building chef using omnibus –chef-server but the after configuring chef on the above architecture aim not able to get  “chef-server-ctl” binary.Due to this , currently iam unable to build chef-server on A15.

Also the packages which are available for Chef (chef_11.6.0-1.ubuntu.13.04_i386.deb) & (chef-server_11.0.8-1.ubuntu.12.04_amd64.deb) on opscode site   fails miserably on my server when I try to install with the below errors

 package architecture (i386) does not match system (armhf)

As per the update on the ops-code site what I understand is “Currently the chef-server packages (.deb/source) are supported only for Ubuntu and Red hat for X86_64 bit architecture “

Please provide your help on suggestion in this regards
