I just pushed to opscode/cookbooks[0] a fix for openid and passenger
spawning issues that people have been talking about on IRC. The
chef_server.conf now has an additional vhost for port 444, and the
related config files (server.rb and client.rb) point to that for
openid_url. Update your cookbook on the server and already-registered
clients should update w/o issue.
This change is also in bootstrap-latest.tar.gz[1]. You'll need to
update your server to add the vhost before you add new clients with
the documented wiki process that uses the bootstrap tarball.
