It won’t work on IIS6, you’d need to make something using adsutil.vbs or WMI from the sounds of things (http://forums.iis.net/t/1150007.aspx).

Will look at packaging it up once I’ve deployed a few more servers with it and are more confident it won’t break ;-)

Nice Dave!  Added it to Lightweight Resources and Providers in the "Custom LWRPs From The Community" call out on the right side of the page, and to Installation on Windows pages on the Chef Wiki for exposure and love...
