Nice work guys.  I'm especially happy that the verbose output that started in 10.0 is finally fixed.

Ohai Chefs,

I just pushed another 0.10.6 beta release to rubygems.org. Since the last beta, we've addressed the following:

* Update only_if/not_if to use ShellOut. We have a much improved windows back end for ShellOut, so this should make only_if/not_if behave much better on Windows. As a bonus, you can now have multiple only_if/not_if conditionals on a resource.
* Fix a regression in the FreeBSD package provider
* Added a workaround for EOFErrors that occur when using SSL with multibyte characters on Ruby 1.9.x

You can see the changes on github here: https://github.com/opscode/chef/compare/0.10.6.beta.2...0.10.6.beta.3

As usual, we'll do a full write-up when we ship the final release; until then you can see the list of resolved issues here:
 http://tickets.opscode.com/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&jqlQuery=project+%3D+CHEF+AND+fixVersion+%3D+10403+AND+status+%3D+Closed

If everything works out, we'll ship an RC in a day or two. Please give this release a spin and let us know if you encounter any problems.

Thanks,--
Dan DeLeo
