[chef] Will Chef 0.8, 0.10, etc. be around in 24 years? (rhetorical)

Hi,
While I am wall to wall Ubuntu the following post does illustrate a
phenomena that toolbox developers can overlook (as well as some Linux
fans), well actually the point of the article is they can have several
things pushing them to ignore it.
The relevant point to consider is that in the devops world we may have
a VB6 segment, whether they be ops people uninterested in Sidewinder
missiles, or devs people little interested in heads-up displays.
It does raise the question is Chef currently a VB4 or VB6, etc. (only
user numbers in a few years time can answer that question).
Nonetheless, this is an interesting issue worth bearing in mind:

Which Chef version will rise to VB6's heights - height being defined
by users, not sidewinder mechanics :)
