chef server 10.16.2 installed using chef-solo

the init script for rabbitmq is checking the return value for rabbitmqctl status.

but rabbitmqctl status is returning zero even when the server's down.

has anyone else run into this? is this a bug in rabbitmqctl or in the init script?

It's a known issue with the init script. I assume you're using the EPEL RabbitMQ.
