Really nice! We've been doing most of this stuff with our own cookbook (tarsnap + tarsnapper), but we never even tried to automate keys managed. Also, feather looks good! Why don't you take over the http://community.opscode.com/cookbooks/tarsnap name ?On Sun, Apr 7, 2013 at 8:07 PM, Kevin Nuckolls < " target="_blank"> > wrote:
Looks pretty useful. Thanks for open sourcing it. :)On Sun, Apr 7, 2013 at 1:30 AM, Scott Sanders < " target="_blank"> > wrote:
We've open-sourced the cookbook and knife plugin that Taxi Magic uses to manage off-site backups. The chef-tarsnap cookbook contains a recipe to set up tarsnap and the feather backup scheduler. LWRP's are provided to configure your own rotation schedule, backup targets, and tarsnap keys. A knife plugin is included to manage keys and archived data.Any and all feedback is welcome!
