Hello Chefs, We've just released version 1.0.0 of knife-google, the knife plug-in for Google Compute Engine. This major release moves away from wrapping gcutil to using
a library to talk directly to the GCE API (KNIFE-278). You should view the README at the GitHub link below, as it contains important information on setting up credentials to access the API. Many thanks to Eric Johnson at Google for this contribution. # Knife Google 1.0.0 on RubyGems and GitHub: https://rubygems.org/gems/knife-google https://github.com/opscode/knife-google Since this was a major refactor, there are some open issues we will be working on over the upcoming weeks: * [CHEF-3880] (http://tickets.opscode.com/browse/CHEF-3880) Google plugin does not support GCEL images * [KNIFE-279](http://tickets.opscode.com/browse/KNIFE-279) Knife Google plug-in REST api calls fail on Windows, requires cacert.pem workaround * [KNIFE-280](http://tickets.opscode.com/browse/KNIFE-280) Knife Google plug-in does not read cli switches from knife.rb As always, we appreciate your feedback. If you find bugs, please file them against the knife-google component of the KNIFE project on
