We (Opscode) aren't doing formal code review around Test Kitchen. The KITCHEN 
project in Jira is unused at this time, and we've been using GitHub issues on 
the repository. 

Also, Fletcher Nichol is the primary author of test kitchen right now and 
he's working on a few documentation updates and we hope to get a beta release 
soon.

The "1.0" milestone is the issues that we're targeting for release.
