Cassiano, When I've see that problem, it's been because the chef-client run has taken too long, usually over an hour. I have some nodes that when built from scratch take a very long time because of compiling multiple versions of ruby, node.js, and some other things. If I run a second time, it generally completes without issue. I found a discussion of this somewhere, but I can't now remember where, probably on Opscode's issue tracker. It was during the convergence of a template, so I’m quite sure that the problem was not related to the resource, but to the Chef Server. This is an OSS Chef Server inside a VPC. The error message can be seen here: http://pastebin.com/Z73NXiJL How do I go about debugging this? Thanks! |
