Hi all

We want to be able to use SSL secured winrm with self signed certs and no CA. To do this we need the knife winrm command to allow us to skip/ignore SSL verification. At present the knife-windows plugin does not allow this.

I found a github pull request that allows this and it works. However it requires updates to the winrm and em-winrm gems.

Both dependent gems have pending pull requests but haven't seen any activity for five months and a year respectively.

What's the best approach for getting any movement on this? I'll chase up to pull requests on winrm and em-winrm. I can raise a ticket for knife-winrm but the main issue may remain. If gem dependencies become unmaintained what happens?

Thanks

Jim
