Thanks Steve! It's great to revive chef-rundeck.

Will give it a try.

Hi everybody,

Brian Scott and I took over maintainer responsibilities for chef-rundeck a while back.  We have cleaned up/modernized a few things and we felt this warranted a new release with a major version bump (0.2.0 -> 1.0.0).  There are some additional features we'd like to add, but we wanted to get this version out first.   It has, after all, been two years (!) since the last release...

If you've been using a chef-rundeck fork and our release makes your life more difficult in some way, I apologize and hope that you'll consider contacting us so that we can integrate your downstream changes.

Here are the notable changes in this release:

  * A basic functioning test suite that builds under Travis-CI and Ruby 1.9.2/1.9.3, connects to a Hosted Chef organization and generates a simple Rundeck resource model.  ("rake spec" to test it for yourself!)
  * chef-rundeck should now drop a pidfile at startup and remove it during normal shutdown.
  * Chef node tags now appear as tags in the generated Rundeck resource model.  (Thanks, giorgio-v!)
