Good question.

I'm now to Chef so I'm using pretty much the latest of everything. I was a bit worried that the vm image was a little old so I tried

config.vm.provision :shell, :inline => "curl -L https://www.opscode.com/chef/install.sh | sudo bash"

which didn't help
