Kapil, I'm sorry, that feature isn't yet available. It has been documented
at https://tickets.opscode.com/browse/CHEF-4921. If you have a pull request,
we can look at it now, otherwise hopefully we'll provide it in a near-term
update to Chef.

At the moment, the scripting workaround is the best way to address this.

Folks,

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to set up "Log On" property to a
user on a Windows service using Chef Service resource. I know the work
around could be to use powershell_script resource to set it via a Powershell
script but I would like to avoid doing that if there is a direct way.

Your input is much appreciated.
