I have to correct myself here. I have been calling it a “script” resource whereas it is not a “script” resource. It is a variable that has PowerShell script being executed by Powershell_Out.

Yes, `-ldebug` is the correct option for chef-client. If you can also paste your recipe code, that would be helpful.
