Hey Peeyush,

You’ll want to look at bootstrap templates. knife bootstrap uses “chef-full” by default, which uses the omnibus installer. If all your powerpc nodes already have chef installed on them, then you can write a custom bootstrap template to do just the configuration steps.

For that matter, you might want to consider including your ruby and chef install process in a template. Or, you might check to see whether one of the “gems” bootstrap templates works for you.
