[chef] Vagrant provision not ... provisioning

Gee it would be nice to be unbarred from the #chef irc channel.

Anywho...

I had to reinstall the ChefDK and vagrant berkshelf yesterday. After doing this I'm noticing that after changing a recipe and running a 'vagrant provision' that the original content is still what's being performed. I can even put intentional erroneous crap in the recipe and chef ignores it.

Anyone seen this?
