Port 53 is DNS and 10.x.x.x is a private network, so it looks like a
networking issue with your local network.
BTW, The recommended way to install berkshelf is via ChefDK, which gives you
a pre-built dependency solver library. Doing a gem install will install
gecode from source which takes a few minutes and needs a fair bit of RAM.
