We wanted to and announced we would open source it at some time, but the 
implementation relies on the RBAC system that was formerly closed source. 
Which would mean that we could open source it but you couldn’t use it without 
the closed source server to integrate it with, which is de facto not open 
source. So we had to either add an open-source only authz system to push-jobs 
or open source the RBAC system and we picked the latter option.
