[chef] Cookbook_file resource unable to copy bash scripts from one location to another?

Hi all,

Hope someone can help.

I'm trying to install the puma server as a service so I can essentially turn it off and on a lot more easily than having to do a puma config.ru.

I'm using the cookbook_file resource to copy files from a workstation to a Ubuntu node as part of my recipe but have found that every other file has been copied across, but files with a .sh extension are not copied across. Is anyone aware of issues with the cookbook_file resource and bash scripts?
