You can go ahead and submit the PR (after signing the CLA if you need to).  We're going to need to tackle this for other reasons as well, but haven't started the work on it yet.

Is there a plan for bumping the ruby version for the windows omnibus client installer?  I modified the omnibus-chef scripts today to package 1.9.3-p429 + chef 11.4.4 for our internal use and the speed difference between that and the currently packaged p286 is....significant (2 seconds vs 15 seconds for 'knife help' on my machine).

I would put up a pull request for it, if it would help, but the code change is 3 lines: the version number, dowload url and md5sum for ruby-windows. Obviously the ease of the code change doesn't include the testing, etc.

Is there an omnibus specific issue tracker? What is the best way to for me to help?
