At one (veewee) created a ci server for the boxes built by veewee (http://ci.veewee.org:8080/ - no longer online) As it is the same kind of issues (put in jenkins scripts that are dealing with VM). It might be interesting to hear his experience on that.

Yeah, "Jenkins with chef" could be one of two things: using chef to deploy jenkins, or using jenkins to do CI on chef cookbooks. For the first way, there is actually a cloud deployment option now for Jenkins, so really you can just play clickety-click in Reach and have a working Jenkins box in a couple minutes.
