I can see the value of having data bags being passed as a static json file to
either chef-solo or littlechef. I just had a requirement pass my desk to
build some nodes in a PCI environment that's locked out from reaching our
chef server and it would be a pain to have to redo a bunch of cookbooks that
are dependent on data bags.
Consider this a +1 from me regarding this feature.
