Charlie,
Thanks very much for this.
After I sent this email I did some more searching and found a
script that you can run from the command line to set the
password for any user.
Have a look at http://blog.blankpad.net/2010/10/06/resetting-a-users-password-in-chef/
Thanks again, Russell

I believe you can edit the user in CouchDB. Go to URL similar to
this for your install. http://localhost:5984/_utils/database.html?chef/_design/users/_view/all
I did this once before, and I think if you remove the password for
the admin user it will authenticate with the default Chef
password. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Good morning,
When I configured the webui I set a complicated
password, which I still have. However for some reason
by installation will not let me in now. I do not know
what has happened yet, but suspect it is a configuration
thing I have done, but I would like to get into the
website.
Please could someone tell me how to reset the admin
password?
Thanks in advance, Russell
