Hi Guys,
Just to close this thread : YAJL library and GEM were installed and the issue
happens on some machines and not on others. Anyway, commenting the "require
yajl/yajl" statement in yajl.rb
This is unclear to me and I will try to find out why the install differs
depending on some servers.
Anyway, thanks a lot all for your help.
Cheers,
Vina.

Vina,
I am not sure exactly what your problem is but you should take a look at the
special install notes for RHEL here:
http://wiki.opscode.com/display/chef/Installing+Chef+Server+using+Chef+Solo#InstallingChefServerusingChefSolo-CentOS%2FRHELInstallationNotes
and make sure you are using the "latest" latest bootstrap cookbooks
https: //s3 . amazonaws.com /chef-solo/bootstrap-test-20120113 . tar .gz
the bootstrap-latest.tar.gz is actually out of date last time I checked.

I checked the forum archives and found only one occurence of this issue which
seem to be related to gecode but gecode is installed :
Well, is the yajl gem installed?
