[chef] How we're using Chef

Morning All,

We've been using Chef, and Vagrant, at Inviqa for a while now and we've 
been doing a couple of things that we haven't seen being done widely. 
We'd obviously been communicating these practices between the project 
teams internally, but not really getting them back out there to the 
wider community. I've taken the time to write a few notes on them here:

Posting it here for two reasons, firstly to help people who are doing 
similar things and might find it useful, secondly, if anyone can offer 
any improvements over what we're doing, please comment on the article 
and share the knowledge.
