It's my validation.pem file - it was (correctly) mailed to me encrypted and I screwed up the decryption.

I'll try and fix that and give it another shot...

Does the file on the node you're trying to bootstrap being and end
with the lines in the error message?

Being the same doesn't mean that it's correct :)
