[chef] Shell Error

Hi,

 Here is my recipe. http://pastebin.com/TuaYVDYs however, i run into a ;
peculiar
error. 
opt/chef/embedded/lib/ruby/gems/1.9.1/gems/mixlib-shellout-1.1.0/lib/mixlib/shellout/unix.rb:115:in
`chdir': No such file or directory /opt/test/hellowworld-version1/hello/
However, this directory does exist. I wonder if the second Shellout command is
receiving the O/P of the first one in the right form.

Do i have to pass the variable in a different format for the value to take
effect?
