First of all, start with https://learnchef.opscode.com/ This will help you get a handle on the basics of Chef, even if the exercises don't cover bind.

There are a handful of cookbooks out there that manage BIND: http://community.opscode.com/search?query=bind&scope=home

However, if you're just starting out, community cookbooks can be hard to grok, as they frequently use features you haven't figured out yet, or use more complex programming constructs to support lots of platforms and/or use cases. Writing your own can be a helpful learning exercise even if you eventually end up using a 3rd party cookbook later.

When writing recipes, this page is your friend: http://docs.opscode.com/chef/resources.html

Have any more specific questions?
