[chef] Ruby Version Issues

Ohai,

I am using OPSWorks in AWS and faced with the issue with ruby 1.8.7.   I 
really need to use Ruby 1.9 or greater with some of my recipes.   I am not 
sure how to specify in the cookbook to use a specific ruby version instead of 
the system default.

Any pointers would be appreciated.
