[chef] Spanish characters on templates causes WebUI cant see cookbooks

Hi!

I suddenly starting to see the "ERROR: undefined method `close!' for nil:NilClass" message, when trying to see my cookbooks on the WebUI.

Trying to fix that, i have discovered that the cause was spanish chars like: ñ, á, ó etc ... on templates. Once i had removed that chars, i can see my cookbooks through the WebUI

So ¿What can i use these characters on templates?
