I don’t know anything about vsphere, but, do you have a non-secure test lab 
you can use to test out your procedures? I’d wager you’d have to get 
approvals and such to get one if you don’t have it already, but in the long 
run this would probably pay for itself since you could test everything with 
non-sensitive data and access to the internet and such.
