[chef] Invidious choices 301: Chef (0.10.4) vs Cucumber (1.1.0)

Currently it appears that it is not possible to have both cucumber and
chef in the same bundle/Gemfile:

Bundler could not find compatible versions for gem "json":
  In Gemfile:
    chef (~> 0.10.4) ruby depends on
      json (<= 1.5.2, >= 1.4.4) ruby

    cucumber (>= 1.1.0) ruby depends on
      json (1.5.4)
