I would venture a guess that the output from install_scos is huge and since it is buffering in memory it eventually runs the box out of RAM.

No idea why it differs based on command-line invocation vs not, I'm not familiar with that cookbook.

i just started with chef, and run into a error I couldn't find the solution.

it takes a lot of time to run and i Get this error:

for the recipe attached. 
-----------the user S2K uses this shell : /bin/tcsh

when I run the command directly it works just fine. 

Do you have any ideia how to resolve this problem?

but when I run be hand it works perfetcly.
I'm sending the recipe. 

Can anyone help me?
