Thanks Tim for informations.

I went through readme and it is the same as opscode tutorial. Would you be so kind to provide me some link around OpenStack/Nagios/Ubuntu 12.04 LTS  setup? As mentioned, readme file is outdated.

Thanks,

J.

Jasna,

Nagios can definitely be setup on Openstack.  The QuickStart guide was written for a very old version of the Nagios cookbook and is not very accurate anymore.  I'd suggest not trying to use that until it gets updated for the new cookbook.  Start by reading the cookbook readme file.  It's very detailed and might be enough to get you started.  If you still have questions shoot me an email at " target="_blank"> and I'll see if I ca get you rolling.

Hi everybody

My name is Jasna. I am a newbie considering Chef. Today I did setup for Nagios3-core on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS server  not with Chef but via apt-get.... That is simpler. Also, it offers simpler interface.

What I would like is to know how to setup Nagios with Chef but with OpenStack not Amazon AWS

I found a nice tutorial of yours http://wiki.opscode.com/display/chef/Nagios+Quick+Start its just that I would like to see how is that possible on other platforms (already mentioned OpenStack), that would also include different credentials...

If you could provide some details/help around Nagios-Chef-OpenStack I would appreciate it a lot.

Thank you for your time,

Jasna
