Today we have a few exciting news items on the Chef Client side. 

1. Chef Client 12 Release Candidate is now available.

We're trying to ensure that the migration path to Chef Client 12 is as frictionless as possible. We need your help in order to do this. Give this release a test drive in your infrastructure and let us know if you're running into any issues. We'll be ready to help :)

2. All AIX, All the time!

We are also very pleased to announce that we now have a technical preview of the Chef Client for AIX 6.1 and 7.1 on the IBM POWER platform.

If any of you happen to have an IBM POWER system hanging out that could use some love, feel free to install and test this out. More information on the platform will be coming in the near future, but we wanted to let you get your hands on it as soon as possible!

(note: we do not support AIX as a knife workstation)
